First of all, you might be wondering what those letters by my name mean…
LMFT-A stands for “Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist – Associate”. This means that I am licensed by the state of Texas to provide therapeutic services to individuals, couples, and families. The “associate” means that I am in the process of accruing a minimum of 3,000 hours of supervised experience. This is to ensure that I am providing the best therapeutic service as possible.
I grew up in the small, West Texas oil field town of Andrews. Both of my parents are retired school teachers. I am the youngest of three children. I love cats AND dogs (I have one of both and they are my children). I am married to a wonderful man with whom I love to gallivant across New Mexico! Sam and I love any chance we can get to escape from the flat lands of Lubbock, TX; but don’t be fooled…we always enjoy coming back home.
I received my undergraduate degree in Family Studies at Lubbock Christian University and completed my Master’s Degree through Abilene Christian University in Marriage and Family Therapy. As you may have gathered, I am a Christian and as such, I take my calling as a therapist seriously. I love that I have the privilege to walk alongside people who are in the midst of a trying season and help them navigate towards reconciliation and growth.
